Airgetlamh I'm having this same issue. I get a timeout error every hour or so.

Cyleena Did you make sure auto disconnect is turned off on game? In game menu, go to config, global, auto-disconnect and make sure it on off.

Speedyjim I almost always leave ffxi open during the day while I'm at work. Occasionally, I would come home to see I've been disconnected due to timing out. I eventually found out it was because my internet connection was dropping. Check to see if that's the case with you.
