I recently registered my character to GW and I found I had been associated with sites by default and this bothered me. I also found that I had 6 people in my friend chat at the top right (before registering I hadn't added any, and when I did check my friend list it still confirmed I hadn't). I didn't know some of those people and I tried to delete them but it doesn't seem to work that way. Did a forum search and it seems like people who are in multiple linkshells can chat with you regardless of being friends.

My suggestion is to add a privacy option for those that don't want this kind of feature and to restrict chat to specific linkshells or just friends in general. I find that even among linkshells there might be people you don't particularly want to see or talk to.

It would also be nice if there was an affirmation before one is associated with sites.
