Which means there is something in common with your setups.

What plugins are you using? Does it work on Chrome or IE?

There are 2000 people connected so seems it works for most.

What browser are you on?

This is happening to me now and it was working fine before a couple of weeks ago. I ran the test at http://websocketstest.com/ and it says "Comet is working fine". This is on Windows7 with Firefox 14.0.1.

I'm also having the same problem on my Mac laptop, using Chrome.

Thanks

Well, I waited a while to post and of course I sort of figured it out right after posting. I was thrown off by it happening in two browsers on two OS.

I noticed this problem wasn't happening in IE, so I thought it may have to do with addons in Firefox. Here's where it gets interesting:

I restarted Firefox with addons disabled and it worked (saw friends list properly). Then I restarted Firefox again to enable them and begin to isolate which one was the cause and it still worked, without disabling any addons. No clue what's up with that. I still have to figure out why it's happening on Chrome on my Mac.

It works in IE because IE does not use Web Sockets for Guildwork, but Firefox and Chrome do.
